Science Books Chapters

How do you memorize two chapters in a science book?
I have a test coming up, but I’m not sure how to study for it. Should I just reveiew the “key concepts’ or memorize them? Should I memorize word definitions? How would you do it? Most detailed AND helpful answer gets ten points
1. read chapters.
2. take notes on high points of chapters.
3. read chapters. and go over notes.

5. understand chapters and notes.
